FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What if I already have a website? Can you make changes on it?
If you have a WordPress website, then you will not need to transfer your domain and hosting. However, we will be updating the theme to Optimize Press 3.0 and rebuilding your website.
For all others, we will need to transfer the domain to Hostgator and use WordPress to design the website. There are very specific customizations we need to have full control over, and WordPress gives us that functionality.
You can request the release of your domain name from your provider and screenshot/screencast recordings of your original website should you want us to maintain any similar design.
Are results guaranteed for product, merch, or service sales?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee results of any kind. Each situation and artist is unique. Factors such as music quality, product prices, brand strength, and demand all play a role in judging it’s success. However, we use our expertise and experience to provide the best results we can.
Is this only for music websites?
Currently, yes. This is only for music artists, producers, and musicians.
How long does it take to build the website?
We will begin web design 2 days after receiving all pertinent images/videos after the consultation. The active duration of time to complete each package is estimated below:
Bronze package: 7 business day delivery
Silver package: 14 business day delivery
Gold package: 21 business day delivery
Can I disconnect my account mid-campaign?
You are free to do this; however, there will be no partial refunds or full refunds on orders. Micro-managing a campaign will only cause you anxiety and us a headache. We will give you several website templates to choose from during the consultation so that you have a feel of what your end website will look like. There are 3 total revisions included should you decide you want to change the design of the site.
Will I own the files even after the design & management are finished?
Yes. However, your domain & hosting are billed separately. You will need to pay these bills in order to keep the site current. If you do not wish to use our management/support after the first year, then you also may want to purchase support/theme updates from Optimize Press to ensure functionality in the future.
If I want more pages than are allowed in my package, can I upgrade?
For Bronze & Silver packages, you can pay the difference to be upgraded to a Silver or Gold package, respectively. If you'd like additional pages for a Gold package, we will send custom invoices.
What is communication like throughout the order?
Once accepted you will schedule a 60-minute consultation to go over specifics of the website and products. After the initial consultation we will be accessible via email support.
Where will my domain and hosting be?
We will set this up with you during the initial consultation. The cost is typically around $5/month when you select the longer duration plans. We use Hostgator to buy/transfer domains.
